1971 911SR TRACK CAR
Based on a 1971 911T, STOMSKI RACING'S 911SR, has made
the transition from a dependable, clean, rust-free driver,
to a dedicated, competitive, full-blown track car. All removable
body parts have been replaced with light-weight fiberglass
and the windows replaced with Lexan or Plexiglas. A full
cage with side impact protection, five point harness, fiberglass/carbon
fiber race bucket, fire system, and fuel cell integrate
for a complete safety system. Race-ready the 911SR weighs
in at a slim 1915 pounds. PCA Club Racing (as a GT5r/s)
and historic race series are the intended venues for the
911SR.

| Triangulated camber bars, heavy
front and rear torsion bars, competition sway bars, as well
as SC brakes allow the 911SR to predictably put its power
to the track. |

| The power plant for the 911SR is a full-competition
2.2 liter engine. High compression JE pistons, Nikasil cylinders,
twin plugged heads, crank-fire HPV1 ignition, flowed heads,
Weber 40 IDAs, GE80 cams, custom designed/fabricated mechanical
chain tensioners, powder coated sheet metal, ram air, and
Magnecore wire sets offer the basis for this competition motor.
An RSR flywheel, Kevlar disc, modified race pressure plate,
and track-selected ratios in the transmission delivers the
power to the wheels. |
